Santeros de Orocovis
Centro Cultural de Orocovis Dec 2016/Jan 2017
Santos from Museo de los Santos permanent collection were displayed as part of a special exhibition in Galeria San Juan Bautista in Orocovis, Puerto Rico from December 2016 - January 2017.
Presented as a complement to the annual Encuentro de Santeros, the exhibition featured antique and contemporary carvings of carvers from the Orocovis area.
Since Orocovis is the geographic center of the island - high up in the mountains of Puerto Rico - it is a center of Puerto Rican and 'Jibero' (country folk) traditions.

Special Exhibition for San Juan Mayor Carmen Yulin Cruz.
Museo de los Santos collection was featured in a special exhibition in San Juan City Hall facing Old San Juan's Plaza de Armas to coincide with our Christmas season (the Guinness Book of Records Longest Christmas in the World!) and Three Kings Day.
The exhibition was curated by the Museum of San Juan with a series of 'floating displays' organized by santero (carver).
